The Loneliest Girl In The Universe Review

The Loneliest Girl In The Universe by Lauren James

Shelved: Fiction, Thriller, Science Fiction, Young Adult
Page Count: 305
My Star Review: 4/5
Goodreads Average Review: 3.92

Romy Silvers is the daughter of two space explorers in this futuristic science fiction novels. And after being born in space, she has no idea what anything on Earth is like, and is promoted to captain when everyone else dies on the spaceship she's on as they're traveling to check out another planet for resources.

Part Interstellar, and also totally and uniquely its own story The Loneliest Girl In The Universe shows us all of the things we should be afraid of when encountering space and technology, while also giving us hope to carry on. The overall vibe of the story is scary and creepy, and yet somehow remains hopeful, as Romy encounters messages from another spacecraft.

The Loneliest Girl In The Universe will also have you question some of humanity's decisions, and make you rethink Nature vs. Nurture.

Overall, a very compelling and easy to read book, and I would highly recommend for fans of InterstellarIlluminae or just fans of space and sci-fi goodness.
