Wild Child

One of the best feeling's in the world is when you discover a really great movie from what you only hoped would turn into something tolerable.

As most of my readers probably know, I LOVE movies. So most of the movies I watch are discovered through a random selection. Usually I find a website such as "Starz," "Hbo," etc. and randomly search through the movies by category and just pick something.

Wild Child stars Emma Roberts and Alex Pettyfer. I had never even heard of Wild Child. I decided to give it a shot and was not disappointed. The movie is considered a comedy and while it is cute and funny, there should almost be another category of movies known as the "Lessons Learned" category. Lots of movies are about the growth of the main character, but Wild Child especially hit that mark.

Emma Roberts is a spoiled, selfish, and even cruel teenager who still hasn't gotten over her mom's death when she finally goes too far and her father sends her off to boarding school...in England. While the viewers remain unsure of the location at the time, the true reason for the location choice is revealed later. It's unclear as how this is a punishment, going to England to live in, just for one semester. Sounds fine to me.

But this movie truly teaches lessons of true friendship, family values, and growing up.
