A cute and sometimes funny, and sometimes emotional portrayal of a college hockey player’s life. Bitty is our perfect combination of unique and lovable; he enjoys baking, blogging, hockey, and is also queer. It’s a book about acceptance and also a book about discovering who you are and who you want to become.

I loved the art in this graphic novel as it really brought to life Bitty with his lovable-self and his crazy faces. I've read a few graphic novels and I've never seen the main characters have as many facial expressions as Bitty had in this novel.

I also loved how Bitty was from GEORGIA and loved to play hockey and bake. It's not often you see hockey players represented in any kind of literature, but especially in YA Graphic Novels, and Queer.

The only problem I had was the romance felt sudden. Not sudden in the "you haven't known each other long enough way" but in the "you guys never even thought of each other that way and now you do? Huh I don't get it" kind of way. Without spoiling anything, the romance felt kind of brotherly.

But I cannot wait for Book Two to see where Bitty will takes us next!
